What is the JA Titan Challenge?
Using the business simulation, http://titanpublic.ja.org Junior Achievement of Maine designs a day-long business strategy competition for high school students. The competition is designed to unleash creativity, test leadership and demonstrate the competitive nature of our free enterprise system in a global marketplace.
High schools throughout Maine are invited to participate. Students form teams of three and are matched with a community business associate to compete with other high schools/business consultant teams. While simulating business quarters, students make decisions on price production, marketing, capital investments, research and development and charitable/community giving. The impact of the decisions will lead to the success or failure of their virtual company.
Students compete at the event during school hours with area business volunteers, which sponsor the student teams.
Held on college campuses, the JA Titan Challenge also gives students an opportunity to tour a college campus and learn more about college business programs. Business people are invited to speak during a lunchtime program. At the conclusion of the competition, top performing teams take home scholarships.

JA of Maine is seeking additional companies to participate in this event and to sponsor student teams.
Teachers are asked to complete our online pre-registration form to reserve a spot for your school. Please note transportation of students will be the responsibilty of the school. Each school can bring up to 5 teams (15 students).
